EHS Varsity Scholastic Bowl Team
Congratulations to the Eureka High School Varsity Scholastic Bowl team for placing second in the Illinois Masonic Academic Bowl Sectional Tournament hosted by St. Bede Academy on Saturday, February 16th. The team defeated Peoria Heights, Roanoke-Benson, Spring Valley Hall, Putnam County, and Henry high schools. Peoria Christian High School won the Sectional. The team will receive a check for $300 for their second place finish! Anna Boggs lead the team in toss-ups by answering 23 correctly followed by Ross Hettinger with 16. Other team members helping lead EHS to second place were Jesse Wilkins, Andrew Nason, Erik Slingerland, Rebekah Coon, Steven Slingerland, and Marlo Glass. The Varsity Scholastic Bowl team is coached by Brian Bill.
